goddamned place-full-ness

Sharing the same journey, Nicole Donnelly and Hailey Higdon travel by foot, by trolley or by bus through Philadelphia taking notes on everything they encounter. Working from these notes, each individually later creates a poem (Higdon) and a painting (Donnelly) based on the experience of their shared travel.
While the end goal of this project is to create and publish a chapbook, the immediate goal while taking notes and transforming those into the finished piece is to respond to the places and people that surround us, to acknowledge their influence in all that we do – whether we like it or not –
the goddamned place-full-ness of it.
