Paintings go to the PA Convention Center

I’m very pleased to announce that two of my paintings were purchased by the Pennsylvania Convention Center here in Philadelphia! “Loss of Promise I & II” have a new home.

If you have the opportunity, the paintings are located in the hallway that runs parallel to 13th street, just beyond the entrance on the Northwest corner of 13th and Arch Streets.

Very Different Animals is a very different way of representing the relationship between painting and poetry than one typically sees. … To us, the poem and the painting finish one another’s thoughts or say what the other cannot say due to the limits of their medium.

Playing in the studio

“Playing” in the studio often leads to wonderful results. So far, I really love the addition of saturated COLOR to my handmade paper, as well as incorporating text. The results are below. All images are watercolor and sumi ink on stretched handmade flax paper, 12″ x 10 1/2″, except “Ornamented” which is 7″ x 7 1/2″.
