I finally had two sunny days in a row, and spring has arrived in Iowa.
My MFA exhibition was held at Arts Iowa City, an “underground” venue consisting of two rooms. The first four images are of my installation piece in the first room, “Stories of Waterfalls,” and the rest of the images are of the work hanging in the second room.

Several shadow puppets used for the performance of Woody Guthrie’s “Dust Pneumonia Blues” and “Talkin’ Dust Bowl Blues.” All puppets are constructed of chipboard: Woody Guthrie, 12″ tall; My Good Gal, 11″; the Doctor, 11.5″; the Kids, 6″; and Ford Jalopy + Mechanic, 5″ x 12″.
